for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit
1. All
measures described in the Project Profile submitted with the application (No.
DIR-175/2008) on
2. To minimise odour
impact during operation of the Project, a deodorizer with a forced ventilation
system shall be installed and properly maintained.
3. To minimise noise
impact during operation of the Project, the pump sets and screening facilities
of the pumping station shall be located underground and enclosed by a
reinforced concrete structure with acoustic louvers. Silencers shall be provided for the
exhaust fans.
4. To avoid
emergency sewage overflow during operation of the Project, one standby pump and
dual power supply shall be provided.
A telemetry system shall be provided to transmit signals showing
irregularity or operational problem of the pumping station to the Pillar Point
Sewage Treatment Works.
5. To
mitigate landscape and visual impacts, green roof design, wall planting and
screen planting shall be provided and properly maintained during operation of
the Project. The entrance gate of
the pumping station shall be at least 2 m high and decorated by perforated
recycled timber.
Note
Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant
may appeal to the Appeal Board against the above conditions within 30 days of
the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
